Donations to the Church

In addition to the usual collections at services held in the Church, people can contribute financially to the Church for its upkeep and the continuation of the mission of the Church in a variety of ways. We shall respect any wishes to remain anonymous.

Direct Giving

• Donations can be left in the offertory box in the Church
• Donations can be delivered to or sent to the PCC Treasurer by post to Gerrys Cottage Ashwater Beaworthy EX21 5EY. Any cheques should be made out to "Ashwater PCC"
• If people wish to make a one-off donation by bank transfer or to set up a standing order for regular payments direct to the Church bank account, please contact the PCC Treasurer Derek Ching on djchinghome@talktalk.net

Gift Aid

• Ashwater Church, like other churches, is classified as a charity. 
• Gift Aid is a valuable additional benefit available to charities.  This allows us to recover an additional 25% from the Government and also helps donors to reduce their own tax bill by including details of their charitable giving in their tax returns. It is an important contributor to the finances of the Church so we encourage anyone donating to complete and send to us a Gift Aid Declaration form where they are qualified to do so. 

Parish Giving Scheme

• This is a centrally managed secure portal which provides an easy way to make one-off or regular donations to the Church without the need to contact the PCC Treasurer to check bank details. It automatically processes Gift Aid claims and payments without additional form filling. 
• Ashwater Parish is registered with the Parish Giving Scheme which allows you to give to this Parish securely and safely online. The Scheme automatically arranges for 25% Gift Aid (where eligible) to be paid to the Church following your donation.
